Mentoring Programs

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Diversity & Inclusion Mentoring Program
The CHLA Diversity and Inclusion Mentoring Program (DIMP) was established in the Fall of 2020 to help medical students discover and reach their academic and professional goals, and provide them with early exposure to academic medicine and pediatrics. DIMP provides students with a support network by pairing mentees with faculty and resident/fellow mentors. For more information on CHLA DIMP, visit https://www.chla.org/diversity-and-inclusion-mentoring-program or contact dimentoringprogram@chla.usc.edu.

UIM Mentorship Families
UIM Mentorship Families is an initiative led by Keck IDEA representatives which gives medical students the opportunity to be paired with faculty and resident mentors. The purpose of this mentoring program is to build a support network and cultivate a strong sense of community among underrepresented students and physicians at Keck. Mentorship families are coordinated by Keck’s Student National Medical Association (SNMA) and Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) for students and faculty who identify as Black and Latinx, respectively. For more information, contact SNMA at snma.usc@gmail.com or LMSA at usc.lmsa@gmail.com.
