6. California Healthcare Foundation/NMF Merit Scholarship

Criteria:

7. CompHealth Medical Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • The CompHealth Medical Scholarship is to be used exclusively for school tuition and related expenses
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0. Or, if your school participates in an alternate pass/fail grading system, a passing status is required.
  • The awarded recipient shall provide proof of admission and enrollment in an institution of higher education
  • Must be a full-time student attending (or planning to attend on a full-time basis) an accredited institution of higher education
  • If selected, please be prepared to provide an official statement of your current academic status. Your school’s registrar will be able to provide you with documentation that proves your enrollment. Failure to include all required materials will result in immediate rejection of the application

8. David R. Cox Scholarship for Rare Compassion

Criteria:

17. Iranian-American Scholarship Fund

Criteria:

  • Verifiable Iranian heritage
  • US citizenship OR legal permanent residency with a valid permanent resident card
  • Enrollment as a full-time Undergraduate (Freshmen not eligible) or Graduate (PhDs not eligible) student in a degree-seeking program at an accredited institution in the U.S.
  • Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
  • Demonstrated need for financial assistance [must apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)]
  • Demonstrated commitment to community service
  • A scholarship will be awarded to a full-time Undergraduate, Graduate or PhD applicant in the field of Iranian Studies at an accredited institution in the U.S. (all other eligibility requirements apply – such as Iranian heritage, citizenship/residency, GPA, financial need, community service)
  • Scholarship applicants are limited to receiving two years of undergraduate scholarship and/or one year of graduate scholarship

  • Intend to practice medicine in Southern California
  • Able to participate in a mentoring relationship with a Southern California Kaiser Permanente physician, starting in the Fall of 2017
