The Physicians Aid Association is a non-profit charitable organization that is dedicated to helping Los Angeles County physicians, their dependent families and physicians-in-training through unanticipated temporary financial hardships.
Qualifications:
- Qualified applicants must be experiencing an unanticipated and temporary significant need.
- Physicians in training must apply for assistance through their school’s Dean’s office.
- Applications must be accompanied with applicants’ most recent tax return, bank statements, 2 page narrative of circumstance and need, and curriculum vitae.
Some examples of what they fund:
- Medical bills
- Rent or Mortgage
- Food
- Utilities
- Transportation
Some examples of what they do not fund:
- Legal Bills or Attorney Fees
- Credit Card Bills
- Business Investments
- Tax Bills
- Computer Purchase
